CTS is now distributing Color Tone’s Wood Coat, the perfect partner to protect and seal your shelving unit. You can use basically any varnish or paint on our pine products. But in this entry, we would like to show you how to get that smooth Wood Coat finish.

 

What is Wood Coat?

Colortone water-based wood coat is a two in one lead-free coating. It acts as a sealer and a varnish to protect all types of exterior and interior wood. It is easy to apply and quick drying. And available in five colours: Teak, mahogany, dark oak, clear and white.

 

 

Application:

• Remove all dust
• Thin down first coat with 10% water.
• Apply two further undiluted coats thereafter.
• Drying time is two hours under approximately 25 degrees Celsius.
• Apply with brush or roller.
• For optimal results sand between coats with water paper.
• Soft wood coverage is 8-10 square meters per litre
• Hardwood coverage is 10-12 square meters per litre.
